Description
Great for adding an unmistakable warm texture and silkiness to your next homebrew. Perfect in stouts, brown and Scotch ales, many Belgian beers, as well as hoppier American styles. This malt is also perfect for achieving High Haze in intentionally cloudy beers like North-East IPAs or Belgian Wits. Well modified Oat malt can be used directly in the mash, just as you would any other malted grain, up to 100%. As with wheat and rye, though, oat malt can be a headache to lauter, so it’s best to either limit it to less than 20 percent of the grist or include a few handfuls of rice hulls as a lautering aid. 1.5 – 2.5L
